TWILIGHT FLOWERS

Twilight flowers are like young maidens dreaming of a prince riding up on a horse to take them to the castle. But summer wanes day by day and the prince never comes.

STABURAGS AND THE DAUGHTER OF THE SUN

The Staburags is a weeping granite cliff in the river Daugava which in mythological times was the site of an epic duel between the Black knight and the Bearslayer, a Latvian folkhero.

Staburags is visited and abondoned by the daughter of the Sun.

DAUGAVA

The river Daugava, which flows the length of Latvia, is considered a symbol of national destiny and fate. The waters of the Daugava are entreated to cleanse away centuries of slavery and opression, freeing our minds and souls.

MY FAVOURITE FLOWERS

My favourite flowers are roses that sparkle like rubies. Put them to your lips, you become spellbound. Your sleeping soul wakes and takes you away in the dream.

CLOUDS

From where do they come and where do they go? I love to watch them and to dream about the southern and northern skies where new friends will greet them, and see their own likenesses in them.

SEARCHING FOR YOU

I searched for you in forest, dale, road and street, but no one was there and my lonely heart ached.

BOHEMIAN’S SONG

I live in the seventh floor attic, but I love it. Here I feel like a shepherd on a hill. Down below city lights and noises. The moon glides by my window and I can travel the world on a cloud.
